All about the mindset

As the antipodean powerhouses prepare to battle it out in the Rugby World Cup, history will be made either way as the Wallabies or the All Blacks become the first side in World Cup history to raise the Webb Ellis trophy for a third time.

Neighbours though they may be, it is often a case of “same same but different” when it comes to Aussies and Kiwis and it’s largely down to mindset.

Australians are typically outgoing and convivial and despite their often apparent casualness of manner, are energetic and practically-minded. They can also be challenging, and surprisingly direct.

New Zealanders are generally seen as relaxed, egalitarian, friendly, straightforward and conservative and do not appreciate being compared with Australians!

Whether it’s watching the World Cup or doing business across borders, understanding what’s behind the country is key.  Negotiate better, recognize influences more quickly and communicate more effectively with Country Navigator’s Mindset Map.
