Terence Brake
Head of Learning & Innovation
Professional
Terence specialises in the globalisation process and organisational design; cross-cultural management; global leadership; global strategy development; transnational teamwork; and futures thinking.
He has designed, developed and delivered programmes for numerous clients in the United States, Europe and Asia - most recently: Alstom (France), E.ON (Germany), Hewlett-Packard (USA), and Renault-Nissan (France-Japan).
Terence is the author or co-author of five books on international business and management and has appeared on CNN as well as on a number of radio programmes.
In 1994, he was awarded the ASTD’s International Professional Practice Area Research Award.
Personal
Terence was a singer/songwriter in the 1970s and even made a couple of albums. In 1976, he met a beautiful American woman in Edinburgh and after marrying and living on a dangerously un-riverworthy boat on the Thames for five years, they moved to Princeton, NJ.
Terence has immense pride in his three sons and adores his one year old granddaughter. When he’s not working or travelling, nothing pleases him more than sitting by a log fire with a good mystery story, classical music playing and a pot of strong tea.
Terence wants his epitaph to read: "But wait, I’m not done yet!"
